Board of Directors

  Eric Honetschlager, President
Elected to the Board in 2009, Honetschlager has served on the Sport Committee, Awards and Recognition Committee, Aboriginal Sport Leadership Council, and Canadian Sport Centre of Saskatchewan Management Committee. He has also served on the executive of the Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association and on the board of the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan. Honetschlager was nominated to the board by the Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association.
 

  Audra Young, Past President
Elected to the Board in 2008, Young has served as the Chairperson of the Sport Funding Committee, Vice President of the Trust and on the Community Funding Committee, and the Aboriginal Sport Leadership Council. She has also been a member of the Community Initiatives Fund, the Rainbow Youth Centre, and Family Service Regina's Board of Directors. Audra was nominated for the Board by the Saskatchewan Rowing Association.
 

  Nada Gorman, Vice President, Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund
Nominated to the board by Softball Saskatchewan in 2010, Gorman has served on the Trust and chaired the Sport Funding Committee. Before her election to Sask Sport Inc., Gorman has been active in the Regina Touch Football League and the Regina Ladies Basketball League. She has served as a clinician and private instructor for minor girls softball in southern Saskatchewan and is a community coach for the Sheldon Williams High School softball team. Gorman was a member of the national softball team and was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
 

  John Lee, Vice President, Saskatchewan Lotteries
Lee was nominated for the board by Basketball Saskatchewan in 2010 and served on the Lottery, Fund Development and Dispute Resolution Committees. He served as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Regina 2005 Canada Summer Games and is a former Executive Director of Sport for Sask Sport Inc. He recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chair of the Regina Host Organizing Committee for the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships. Lee was also the president of the Regina Community Basketball Association and a director with Basketball Saskatchewan.
 

  Dave Pettigrew, Vice President, Sport
Pettigrew was nominated for the board by the Saskatchewan Hockey Association in 2010. Pettigrew has served on the Fund Development, Sport, KidSport™, and Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan Committees. Before joining the board, he served as the Senior Vice President and Vice Chair of the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships and is an assistant coach with the atom T3 Capitals. He has also been a coach and assistant coach with Hockey Regina, and a soccer coach.
 

  Sean Thompson, Secretary Treasurer
Nominated to the Board in 2009 by Judo Saskatchewan, Thompson has served on the Sport Committee, Sport Funding Committee, Aboriginal Sport Leadership Council, and Administration Center Advisory Committee. Sean is a former wrestler with the University of Regina Cougars.
 

  Jason Clermont
Since joining the Board in 2009, Clermont has served on the Future Best Committee, KidSport™ Saskatchewan Provincial Committee, and Lottery Committee. He was nominated to the board by Football Saskatchewan. Clermont has played in the CFL since 2002, starting with the BC Lions and now entering his second season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. During his outstanding football career, he has played in three Grey Cup games, been named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Canadian twice, and received the Most Outstanding Rookie award in 2002.
 

  Ellen Grewcock
Grewcock was nominated for the Board in 2009 by the Saskatchewan Games Council and Saskatchewan Athletics. Grewcock has served on the Community Grant Program Committee, Community Development Fund Committee, Administration Centre Advisory Committee and Women in Sport Committee. She played basketball with the U of S Huskies and has competed at the Masters World Games in softball. Grewcock has also volunteered at the Saskatchewan Summer Games and Western Canada Summer Games as the Chair of Results for Athletics.
 

  Robert Barrand
Barrand, a management consultant and project manager, has been involved with the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association and has assisted with their camp programs. Barrand has served on the Sport Committee, Aboriginal Sport Leadership Council, and Administration Centre Advisory Council. Barrand was nominated for the Board by the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation in 2010.
 

Shane Reoch
Reoch has coached basketball, soccer and baseball teams in the last 15 years. He remains active as a basketball player in the Regina A League. Reoch recently completed a six-year tenure on the Board of Directors of the University of Regina Alumni Association. As the alumni president, his duties included oversight of the board’s ongoing support for student, college and faculty initiatives including athletic programs. Reoch was nominated for the Board by the Saskatchewan Handball Association in 2011.
 

Evan Howlett
Dr. Howlett practices Family Medicine at the Lenore Centre Medical Clinic in Saskatoon. He has a special interest in sports and cardiovascular medicine, injury rehabilitation and clinical research. From 2003-08, he served on the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club board of directors, and was team manager for Triathlon at the Canada Summer Games in 2009, and from 2006 to present he has served on the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation board, most recently as Treasurer. Howlett was nominated for the Board by the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation in 2011.
 

Angella Pinay
Pinay is trained in business administration, and has worked with organizations such as the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, Aboriginal Management Search Inc., and Snow and Associates Inc. Since 2008, she has been a board member for the Volleyball Saskatoon Association. Pinay has been team manager for the University of Saskatchewan Women’s Volleyball team, committee member for Team Saskatchewan Volleyball at the North American Indigenous Games, and has played competitive volleyball. Pinay also holds a variety of coaching certifications. Pinay was nominated for the Board by the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association in 2011.
 

Joe Daniels
Daniels is the past president of the Regina KidSport™ Committee, and a former Sask Sport employee. He has a variety of National Coaching Certification Program designations and has coached outdoor hockey and soccer. Daniels was a Regina Olympic Torch Relay Committee member, was part of the Team Saskatchewan Mission Staff for the 2005 North American Indigenous Games, and has acted as a venue coordinator at the Saskatchewan First Nation Winter and Summer Games. Daniels was nominated for the Board by Judo Saskatchewan in 2011.
