SSW is not a grant, it is wage subsidy provided by the Ministry of AEEI to Saskatchewan employers to hire students during the summer months.

Full time position: minimum 30 and maximum 40 hrs per week.
Part time position: minimum 10 and maximum 29 hrs per week.

The SSW program will be focused on students with disabilities and Aboriginal students who continue to be under-represented in our growing workforce, where possible. (Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission Exemption Order EX08-09)

The primary employer application deadline has passed
(March 23rd), and all funds for 2011 summer student positions have been allocated. Applications may be submitted until July 31st, 2011: HOWEVER, any funding that becomes available will be first redistributed among those qualified applicants who applied prior to the March 23rd deadline.
