Jeff Whiting, along with a team of coaches has helped coach many athletes to high profile competitions, such as the Paralympic Games, the World Cup, and IPC World Cups over the past 23 years. He helped coach and guide an athlete to win a silver and bronze medal at the Paralympic Games, 3 World Championship medals, 7 World Cup medals, and a ski medal at the International Paralympic Committee World Championships. He has also received many personal awards, some of which include the SASKI Award of Merit, the Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association Volunteer of the Year award, and the Olympic Legacy & Petro Canada Coaching Fund award. Jeff supports all Para-Nordic development through promotion of excellence amongst athletes with disabilities, their coaches, and the organizations that represent them. Jeff generously gives back to coaching as a mentor and an NCCP Learning Facilitator. Jeff always acknowledges that these accomplishments are made possible and credit to the team of people that he works with. |
