Jason Coutu Saskatoon Speed Skating
Nominated by Saskatchewan Amateur Speed Skating Association

Coutu has been officiating for the past 10 years at the community, provincial and national levels. As a Level 2 referee, he has led many Intro to Officiating classes and created the curricula that the Saskatchewan Amateur Speed Skating Association (SASSA) uses for electronic timing and recorder Level 2 in Saskatchewan. He served four years on the SASSA Board of Directors and was a Saskatchewan representative at the most recent National Officials Conference. Coutu was chosen to be the Long Track recorder for the 2015 Jeux du Canada Winter Games, having previously served as a recorder for the previous two Canada Cup #3 - Long Track Championships and past Canadian Age Class Long Track Championships.
