The Holland rink, with skip, Amber Holland, third, Kim Schneider, second, Tammy Schneider, lead, Heather Kalenchuk, fifth, Jolene Campbell, and coach Merv Fonger won the SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts Provincial Championship in Outlook to advance to the national championship. At the national Scotties, in Charlottetown, PEI, the team won gold, advancing to the World Women's Curling Championship. The Holland rink earned silver at the World Championships in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Saskatoon Hilltops Football Club • Saskatoon

The Saskatoon Hilltops were back-to-back winners of the Canadian Bowl, the Canadian Junior Football League Championship, in Hamilton, Ontario in 2011. The team beat out six other teams from across Canada to earn the award, which was the 15th time in the team's history that they had captured the title. The team earned its way into the bowl game by winning the Jostens Cup in Nanaimo, B.C. and the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) Championship in Saskatoon in October. The team's Head Coach was Tom Sargeant.

University of Saskatchewan Huskie Women's Basketball Team • Saskatoon

The University of Saskatchewan Huskie Women's Basketball team placed 1st in the Canada West Regular Season Competition, which included various games across Western Canada. They swept the University of Calgary Dinos in the Canada West Playoffs, allowing them to advance and win the Canada West Championship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This was the first time in history that the Canada West Final Four was hosted, and later won, by the Huskies. The Huskies then won the silver medal at the CIS Championship in Windsor, Ontario. Many of the team members have been honoured with numerous awards, including the Canada West award, CIS Sylvia Sweeney award, CIS Defensive Player of the Year award, Canada West MVP award, CIS First Team All-Canadian award, Canada West First Team All-Stars award, and the CIS Coach of the Year award.
