    SASKATCHEWAN SPORT AWARDS NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN AND RUN UNTIL MIDNIGHT DECEMBER 4, 2017
    All Sask Sport active members (Provincial Sport Organizations) and affiliate members (Districts) can recognize and honour Athletes, Coaches, Officials and Volunteers for their outstanding achievements, dedication and contributions in Saskatchewan amateur sport during 2017, by nominating them for the Saskatchewan Sport Awards!

    Consider nominating, in an Athlete of the Year award category, an athlete you previously nominated for Athlete of the Month during 2017. Nominations

     

    CAAWS WOMEN AND LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS
    The Canadian Association for Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity are hosting three workshops on Thursday, November 16, at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. The workshops are Creating Work-Life Balance, Women on Boards, and Leading with Confidence. Registration for these workshops is $15.00 each or all three for $30.00. If you are a SWDCRS member community the workshops are free!

    MAKING A DIFFERENCE THROUGH ADAPTIVE SPORT IN SASKATCHEWAN
    Working Together, for ALL
    Sask Sport Inc. is investing in the future of Adaptive and Parasport in Saskatchewan. Throughout the coming months, Sask Sport will collaborate with provincial sport governing bodies and identified affiliate stakeholders to explore ways to champion efficiency and sustainable practices in the Saskatchewan adaptive sport system. This joint effort aims to create a strong and sustainable Adaptive Sport Strategy that supports the goals and objectives of the 2017-2021 Sask Sport Strategic Plan, notably the areas of enhanced participation, excellence, capacity and collaboration in Saskatchewan sport.

    TONY COTE FIRST NATIONS GAMES
    The Saskatchewan First Nations Summer/Winter Games are now known as the Tony Cote First Nations Summer/Winter Games to honour its founder. The announcement was made at the closing ceremonies of the 2017 summer games.

    PETERS AND PILON CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR KIDSPORT RAISES OVER $1,000,000 AND CONCLUDES A 12-YEAR LEGACY EVENT IN SASKATCHEWAN
    The Peters and Pilon Celebrity Golf Tournament for KidSport has been a significant event in Saskatchewan since 2006, and has exceeded its goal to raise over $1,000,000 to help children of families facing financial obstacles participate in community sport programs. However, after 12 successful years, Marty Peters, Chair of the Peters and Pilon Celebrity Golf Tournament, announced that the event will no longer be held. Read More
