A new five-year lottery agreement was signed on October 23rd by the Minister for Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport and representatives of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation.
This agreement reaffirms the government's commitment to sport, culture and recreation in the province. In doing so, it also ensures a better quality of life for Saskatchewan communities and citizens. "Our lottery system is another example of a partnership that enhances our way of life in Saskatchewan," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Dustin Duncan said in the news release. "This is money put to good use fostering culture, sport and recreation in our communities, helping individuals, families and groups."
"We thank the Province of Saskatchewan and the Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport for their commitment to the volunteer-driven amateur sport system," said Dale Holmes, President of Sask Sport Inc. "The Saskatchewan Lotteries fundraiser for sport, culture and recreation makes participation opportunities possible, enhancing the quality of life in every Saskatchewan community."
Saskatchewan Lotteries is the fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture, recreation and community groups in the province.
