The First Nations Summer Games took place on the Thunderchild First Nation, the Town of Turtleford and the Village of Edam from August 6th to 11th, 2011.

2011 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships

The National Aboriginal Hockey Championships were held in Saskatoon from April 25- May 1, 2011. The event was hosted by the Saskatoon Tribal Council. Saskatchewan's female team won the final 7-3 over Eastern Door North to win GOLD. Team Saskatchewan Male beat Eastern Door North in overtime with a final score of 4-3 to once again win GOLD for the fourth year in a row!

Team Saskatchewan Claims National Championship Title for Third Straight Year

Team Saskatchewan recently competed at the 2010 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Ontario with outstanding results. Saskatchewan's female team placed fourth in the championships, after a hard battle with Ontario South in the bronze medal match. Team Saskatchewan Male won gold, after defeating Manitoba 8 to 1 in the final game, gaining the National Championship title three years in a row. Congratulations to these athletes and thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, officials, and sponsors who made this event possible.

2010 First Nation Winter Games

The First Nations Winter Games took place on April 5-10, 2010, hosted by the Saskatoon Tribal Council. The Games brought together First Nations youth from across the province to participate in hockey, volleyball, broomball, badminton, and curling. This year's theme for the Games was: "Our Youth; Our Strength; Our Future."

Team Saskatchewan was victorious again!

The 2008 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) were in Cowichan, British Columbia with our athletes capturing 120 medals more than their closest rival.

Adding to their success, the young athletes, coaches earned a huge amount of respect and admiration from across the Nation. Not only by capturing their share of medals, but more importantly Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal youth represented their province with pride and a healthy competitive attitude. Congratulations Team Sask!
