Funding
Sask Sport Inc. administers funding through the Sport Section of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund. These funds are made possible from the sale of lottery tickets in Saskatchewan.
Sask Sport Inc. offers a wide range of funding opportunities that support the growth and development of amateur sport in Saskatchewan. Funding is channeled through eligible Provincial Sport Organizations who support extensive participation towards excellence.

Annual Funding Assistance
Provincial Sport Governing Body (PSGB) and Multi-Sport Organization (MSO) Annual Funding
Sask Sport Inc. through the Sport Section of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund provides core funding to provincial sport governing bodies and multi-sport organizations for development within four areas of support (Administration, Capacity/Interaction, Participation, Excellence). Provincial Sport Governing Bodies & Multi Sport Organizations on the Minister's eligibility list are eligible to apply.

Sask Sport Inc. provides funding through the Membership Assistance Program to enable Provincial Sport Governing Bodies to allocate funds directly to their respective clubs, leagues, or other affiliated members, to increase the number of participants and the quality of sport development in Saskatchewan communities.

Grant Programs
The purpose of the Aboriginal Community Sport Grant Program (ACSGP) is to provide greater sport participation and development opportunities for Aboriginal youth in Saskatchewan, especially youth living in urban, rural, on-reserve, isolated and northern communities.
Eligible communities can access the grant program, which is funded by Sport Canada Aboriginal Participation and the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. The grant is designed to support the development and implementation of community sport programs.
For eligibility requirements, refer to the program guidelines and/or contact a support organization listed on page 3 of the Planning Community Sport Workbook. Completing this workbook and the worksheets will assist you with the grant application process for this grant as well as other funding programs.

Canada Games Program Assistance
To develop a high performance sport program that will assist Saskatchewan to place in the top four at the Canada Games. Support is available to be used to in the areas of talent ID, training coaching, officials, athlete development, sport medicine and science, competition and hosting. All Provincial Sport Governing Bodies who are included on the calendar of the Canada Games are eligible to apply for funding.

Hosting
To support regional, national, and international amateur sport events hosted in Saskatchewan that build capacity in the sport system (excellence, infrastructure, human resources, participation), maximize economic & community benefits, and promote Saskatchewan culture and values. Provincial Sport Governing Bodies must apply on behalf of the hosting community or organization.

To assist student-athletes competing in Canada Inter-university Sports (CIS) for either the University of Regina or the University of Saskatchewan through a provincial awards program in partnership with participating Provincial Sport Governing Bodies (PSGB's), Sask Sport Inc. and the Universities.

Urban Youth Sport Initiatives Grant
To assist Saskatoon District, Regina District, Lakeland District (Prince Albert) and Parkland Valley District (Yorkton) to facilitate, in partnership with various community organizations, the provision of sustainable sport participation opportunities for children and youth who experience social and economic barriers. Through the support of the "Urban Youth Sport Initiatives Grant", a trained Youth Sport Coordinator will be hired to lead this initiative.

1989 Jeux du Canada Games Foundation
The 1989 Jeux du Canada Games left Saskatoon and Saskatchewan with legacies in facilities, community development and sport. Sport equipment from the Games was distributed to communities and organizations throughout the province for use by amateur athletes.
The 1989 Jeux du Canada Games Foundation seeks to maximize another legacy of the Games - funds remaining after the completion of the event. The Foundation distributes the interest accrued on the invested money on an annual basis to assist in the development of amateur sport in Saskatchewan.

Scholarships
Glenn Tuck Memorial Scholarship
Four scholarships of $1,500 each are available per academic year to students of the University of Regina (2 awards) and the University of Saskatchewan (2 awards). Eligible candidates must have completed at least two years of study enrolled in Kinesiology, or Education with a major in Kinesiology/Physical Education.
One scholarship of $1000 is available to students of the Recreation and Leisure Management Program at SIAST Kelsey Campus. Recreation and Leisure Management full time second year students that are eligible for graduation at the end of the semester and have a minimum grade point average of 70 at the end of semester III are eligible to apply.
