Canadian Sports Centre Manitoba - General Manager

The Canadian Sports Centre Manitoba (CSCM) is seeking a General Manager. The individual in this position shall possess strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal, financial management, human resources management, oral and written communication, organizational, conflict resolution and time management skills while having a sound knowledge of all aspects of sport management including fundraising, marketing and board development. Experience in local, provincial, national and international sport would be an asset.

Saskatchewan Games Council - Summer Student

The Saskatchewan Games Council is the permanent regulatory body of the Saskatchewan Games program. The Saskatchewan Games is a multi-sport event that takes place every two years, alternating between summer and winter.

Dream Broker - Prince Albert

The Dream Broker program is a partnership between the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert Catholic School Division, Sask Sport, SaskCulture and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. Additional support is provided by the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund, Community Initiatives Fund, KidSport, Creative Kids and Give Kids a Chance Charity. The purpose of a Dream Broker is to facilitate and support the participation of inner city children in sport, culture, recreation and arts activities by:

  • Developing supportive, trusting relationships with children, parents, school staff and community service providers to identify and meet needs of children;
  • Facilitating and providing support centered around the needs and wants of children to enable and sustain participation in activities of choice;
  • Promoting and supporting the initiative's purpose, goals and objectives through community engagement.

2014 Summer Employment Opportunity - Summer Play Program Coordinator

The South West District for Culture, Recreation and Sport invites applications for a Summer Play Program Coordinator. This position will be of interest for those studying in the fields of recreation, education, fine arts, kinesiology, psychology or social work. Students must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years at the start of employment and returning to post-secondary school in the fall, to qualify.

Sport, Culture & Recreation (SCR) Summer Tour Programmer

The Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District is looking for self motivated individuals to fulfill the full-time, temporary positions of SCR Programmers for our Sport, Culture & Recreation Summer Tour Program. These positions will allow for creative planning and energized delivery of our summer day programs for children ages 6 to 13 years, at various host communities within the Parkland Valley District. Positions will commence June 2, 2014 and end August 22, 2014.

The Saskatchewan Horse Federation (SHF) is a non-profit organization that represents over 6,000 members and stakeholders in the Saskatchewan horse industry. Founded in 1974, the SHF is a member of SaskSport Inc. and is a growing and dynamic organization. The objective of the federation is furthering the sport, recreation and industry of the diverse provincial horse community. The federation is guided by a fourteen member Board of Directors that represents all regions in Saskatchewan.

Summer Student - Saskatchewan Lotteries

To assist the Beneficiary Organizations in meeting their financial needs by operating a fundraising program utilizing Western Canada Lottery Corporation products and programs. The Summer Student position will provide relief for the Lottery Sales Representatives and the Distribution Depot staff based out of the Saskatoon office. The position will also be conducting Mystery Shopping at select retailers in Saskatchewan.

Coordinator – Community Consultant

The Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District (PVSCRD) is looking for a self motivated individual to fulfill the full-time position of Community Consultant. This position works with people to support community needs and assist in creating opportunities in their sport, culture and recreation efforts. This individual is expected to be creative, outgoing and be able to work independently to achieve the work of the whole.

Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District (PVSCRD) -
Coordinator – Community Development

The Prairie Central District for Sport, Culture and Recreation Inc. is one of nine sport, culture and recreation districts within Saskatchewan. We are centrally located in the province and service an area including Outlook, Davidson, Warman, Humboldt, Wadena, Wynyard and Fort Qu’Appelle. The Coordinator – Community Development position is a commitment to work with communities in the District to build capacity through the facilitation of sport, culture and recreation programs and services. This will include providing assistance and leadership to key stakeholders in developing and delivering community development initiatives that build capacity and relationships at the grassroots level. The position will also support organizational development opportunities.
