Sask Sport Inc - Dream Broker, Prince Albert
Closing Date: July 28, 2014
The Dream Broker program is a partnership between the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert Catholic School Division, Sask Sport, SaskCulture and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. Additional support is provided by the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund, Community Initiatives Fund, KidSport, Creative Kids and Give Kids a Chance Charity. The purpose of a Dream Broker is to facilitate and support the participation of inner city children in sport, culture, recreation and arts activities by:

  • Developing supportive, trusting relationships with children, parents, school staff and community service providers to identify and meet needs of children;
  • Facilitating and providing support centered around the needs and wants of children to enable and sustain participation in activities of choice;
  • Promoting and supporting the initiative's purpose, goals and objectives through community engagement.

Youth Development Coordinator - Special Olympics Saskatchewan
Closing Date: July 30, 2014
The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for developing sport programs for young athletes with an intellectual disability in school and/or community settings. The implementation of grassroots programs will achieve Special Olympics Saskatchewan's strategic goals to increase athlete recruitment and retention and to increase new volunteers and family involvement. This position will utilize the Special Olympics Canada Active Start resources for children ages 2 to 6 years and the FUNdamentals resources for children 7 to 12 years.

Sask Volleyball is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote and develop the sport of volleyball in Saskatchewan. The organization offers a wide variety of programs, including grassroots, competitive, officiating, and coaching opportunities to all age groups. Sask Volleyball is seeking a Coaching Pathway Coordinator (CPC) on a contract basis for up to a threeyear term. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a passion for coaching, who can assist in developing and implementing programs that support grassroots and high performance coaches in the province.
